About

The hand behind the ink

A. Veridian

I write dark fantasy because I believe in the weight of choices, the cost of power, and the strange beauty that lives in shadows.

The God's Rest has been with me for years—a story about faith that fractures, gods that bleed, and mortals who refuse to stay mortal. It demands to be told slowly, carefully, with attention to the ritual of craft.

This log is where I document the journey. Not polished marketing, but the real work: the drafts, the doubts, the small victories, the fragments that might never make it to the page.

A Note on Content

The God's Rest is dark fantasy. It contains themes that may be difficult for some readers:

  • • Religious trauma and crisis of faith
  • • Death, grief, and necromancy
  • • Body horror and magical corruption
  • • Moral complexity and morally grey characters
  • • Violence (not gratuitous, but present)

This is not grimdark for its own sake. It's a story about what survives when everything sacred breaks—and whether what remains can still be called hope.
